Run the whole meet. Sign-up to results.
Opener handles registration, weigh-in, flights, lifting order, plate loading, scoreboards and referee lights on the phones, tablets and laptops you already have. It keeps running when the venue Wi-Fi doesn't.
Built for volunteer-run club meets. No hardware to buy, no servers to rent.
Meets run on goodwill and paperwork
Lifters train for months for your meet. Most meets are run by volunteers using a few tools that don't talk to each other.
Chasing names, dates of birth and divisions, then typing them all in again.
Paper slips for bodyweight, openers and rack heights, carried across the venue.
One laptop, one person who knows how it works, and no screen for anyone else.
Loaders doing plate maths under pressure while the next lifter waits.
Before, during and after

Results, done

- A public results page for lifters to share Meet Pass
- One-tap export for OpenPowerlifting
Every screen in the room. No internet needed.
One app for every device. Install Opener on any spare phone, tablet or laptop and join the meet as a display. Enter the 4-digit PIN from the scoring table and it finds the meet over the venue's Wi-Fi. Nothing goes via the internet.
Who's lifting, what's on the bar, who's on deck. Big enough to read from the back of the hall.
Spotters see exactly which plates go on each side, worked out from your plate set.
Upcoming attempts so lifters and coaches can confirm the next attempt and time their warm-ups.
Updated after every lift, by weight class, flight or overall, with best-lifter points.
Three phones become a lights system, with a big lights screen for the lifter and the crowd.
Venue Wi-Fi that blocks devices from seeing each other? A phone hotspot or a cheap travel router gives the scoring table and screens their own network. No internet connection required.
Three phones. One set of lights.
Hardware lights systems cost hundreds. Opener turns your referees' own phones into one.
- Each referee picks their chair and gets two buttons, each half the screen
- Lights stay dark until all three have decided, so no one is swayed
- Decisions are final, then reset for the next attempt
- The scoring table records the result with one tap
Built for the way meets actually run
Multisport
Powerlifting, weightlifting and strongman presets, or build your own events in weight, reps, distance or time.
Online sign-up
Lifters register on a public page with their events and division, straight into your meet.
Works offline
Meet day runs on your devices. A dropped connection doesn't stop the platform or the screens.
One app, every device
Opener runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows. The same app does setup, scoring, screens and referee lights.
Lifting order
Next lifter worked out from attempts as they change, with rack heights and plate maths built in.
Multiple platforms
Run each platform from its own scoring device, with its own screens and referees.
Best lifter
DOTS, IPF GL or Wilks points next to every total, with the option to rank by them.
OpenPowerlifting export
Results in the format OpenPowerlifting asks for, ready to submit after the meet.
Estimated timings
A screen for the warm-up room showing when the next flights should warm up and start, and when each lift should finish. It learns the pace of the day from every attempt.
Public results page
Publish results to a page lifters can open and share, with places, best lifts, totals and points.
Placing points
Award points for each place in an event, for strongman and other events decided by placing.
Fair comparisons across weight classes
Pick DOTS, IPF GL or Wilks when you set up the meet. Points appear next to each total in the standings, and one switch ranks the whole field by them. IPF GL uses the right coefficients for raw, equipped and bench-only.
| Pos | Lifter | Total | DOTS |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sam Doyle · 66 kg | 540.0 | 423.1 |
| 2 | Tom Okafor · 92 kg | 642.5 | 410.9 |
| 3 | Gareth Price · 120 kg | 710.0 | 407.8 |

Contact usGood to know
Do we need internet at the venue?
Not on the day. Meet day runs over the venue's local network: scoring, every screen and referee lights work without internet.
Online sign-ups before the meet and the public results page afterwards need a connection and a Meet Pass.
Do I need a separate app for screens?
No. Install Opener on every device and join the meet as a display. Keep them on the same Wi-Fi as the scoring table.
A Windows laptop connected to a projector or TV makes a great scoreboard.
Who pays for the Meet Pass?
The organiser buys it in the Opener app for the meet that needs it. It covers online sign-up, keeping the meet online, the public results page, referee lights and estimated timings. Many organisers add a little to the entry fee to cover it. Lifters never pay us anything.
Running the meet on the local network, including every screen, stays free.
Do lifters need to download anything?
No. When the organiser has a Meet Pass, lifters sign up on a web page and see results on the public results page afterwards.
Which sports does it support?
Powerlifting (full power and single lifts), weightlifting and strongman have presets. You can also build custom events measured by weight, reps, distance or time, with your own totalling and placing rules.
Which best lifter formula should I use?
Use whatever your federation uses. IPF affiliates use IPF GL, many other federations have moved to DOTS, and Wilks is still common at local meets.
Can we submit results to OpenPowerlifting?
Yes. After the meet, export from the scoring screen to get the entries and meet files in OpenPowerlifting's format. Add the venue location to the meet file, then submit them through OpenPowerlifting's usual process.
